In October, Google began testing a business version of its AI app, Notebook LM. It’s a popular note-taking and research tool. The company is now launching Notebook LM Plus for enterprises. The features are identical to those of the consumer version. But, it has better security and privacy controls for businesses.
Notebook LM Plus lets employees upload data and files. They can create interactive notebooks and audio summaries, called Audio Overviews. They can work with other team members on these initiatives as well. The enterprise version has more features. It permits five times as many data sources, notebooks, and audio summaries each project.
Users can customize the style and tone of AI responses. They can also track usage analytics for shared team notebooks. This enterprise version is part of Agent space, a new Google Cloud platform for AI-driven “agents.” Notebook LM Plus is in early access. It gives businesses tools to organize, manage, and share AI-driven research and content.
Google is adding a new integration dubbed Agent Space to its Notebook LM tool. It aims to better serve enterprise customers, schools, and businesses. Raj Pai, VP of Cloud AI at Google, noted that millions of users have benefited from Notebook LM. It simplifies complex information. Agent space adds more functionality.
It combines Notebook LM with agents that can analyze, translate, and fetch data from third-party sources. You can do all this from a single interface. Also, Google plans to let users create custom agents with a low-code tool. This will give businesses more flexibility. For those who do not want to subscribe to Agent space, Google is offering Notebook LM Plus.
It’s part of the Gemini for Workspace plan and a standalone product via Google Cloud. It offers custom options for groups needing advanced AI tools. It ensures compliance, security, and privacy. In early 2025, Google will offer Notebook LM Plus to users of its $20-per-month Google One AI Premium plan. Notebook LM is now one of Google’s most popular AI products.
Its new audio-generation feature made it a hit after launch. This feature creates lifelike, back-and-forth dialogues between synthetic podcast hosts. It uses source videos, audio files, URLs, or documents. It gained popularity on social media at a rapid pace and saw extensive replication.
Some key figures behind the app have left. But Google has added new features to Notebook LM. The platform is a leader in AI content generation. It will get new features and improvements in the coming months.
